What ARCH C is for
ARCH C at 18 × 24 inches carries one plan, elevation or section — a small renovation, a single storey, a landscape layout — where a full D sheet would be mostly empty. Two ARCH C sheets make an ARCH D, and half an ARCH C is an ARCH B. It is the largest sheet that opens on an ordinary desk without a plan table, and it is the size most small practices standardise on because it can be produced on a 24-inch roll, the narrowest and cheapest large-format plotter width sold.
