Which is bigger

C4 is 8 times the area of C7. They are 3 steps apart in the C series and each step halves the sheet, so the multiple is two to the power of 3. The number in the name going up while the sheet goes down is why this has to be asked rather than read off.

C4 is 148 mm wider than C7. C4 is 210 mm taller.

Printing one on the other

A C7 page fits inside C4 whole — print it at 100% and you get a 74 mm border down each side and 105 mm top and bottom.
